I am a traveling nanny with the 1st National tour of "Wicked" on Broadway. I get to spend my days with the most amazing 9 month old in the world! It's a life full of smiles and laughter, and of course, dirty diapers! I love life on the road and the wonderful family I get to share it with! I grew up in a small town and have always felt there was more out there for me to see. This is my way of finding out where I am meant to be.

A day in the life..

With only two days left in Portland, I was beyond stoked to wake up to sunshine for the first time in weeks! This rain here has been getting on my last nerve! With the weather bearable for once, Mace and I were ready for an adventure. Diaper bag packed, kiddo fed, nanny filled with coffee, and off we went. First stop- Voodoo Doughnuts! Maple Bacon Doughnut.. Hellllloooo yummy!

Next on our list, we met up with little man’s girlfriend and a friend of mine and went for a walk by the river. It was soooo crowded down there, so we headed toward the Pearl district to do some shopping. With Mace fast asleep in the stroller, we headed that way. After about 12 blocks, we finally made it. By that time, we all had food on our mind. We found a cozy little place, relaxed, and pigged out. 2 bottles, some solids, and a huge nacho plate later, we were on our way to finally shop! Of course after an hour of shopping, it was dinner time again, so off we went all the way to the other side of town again to meet Mommy and Daddy in between shows! After a full day of pushing a stroller up and down the hills of this crazy town, this nanny was pooped! Finally, made it home, for a relaxing night inside with my favorite little man. What a day!

Welcome to my life..

I’m not really sure where to begin. I started this to just kind of, let it all hang out. A place to be myself and share with people who exactly that is. I’ve been a lot of places and seen a lot of things. Done a lot of things I never would have thought I could do. I grew up in a small town, and by small I mean the prison population overtook the town population. When I was 18 I moved away and have been moving around ever since. Right now, I’m a nanny for the most amazing family. Who also just happen to work with the Broadway show “Wicked”. They have given me the opportunity to live my dreams, traveling around the US with them on tour. I get to spend my days with an adorable, smiley, 9 month old boy, named Mace. He is such a joy to be around and I wouldn’t trade this for anything. 21, and definitely living the dream.

This is me, letting it all hang out. For starters, things like this make me nervous. Complete strangers reading what I have to say. Weeeeeeird. Some may like it, some may think I’m boring and could care less what I have to say. But I’m okay with that. I’ll admit, I can be quite boring at times, but I can also be completely crazy, loud, outgoing, and honestly, a little bizzare. I hate the color purple. I don’t know what it is about it, but I’ve never liked it. Spicy food is gross. I’ve never been able to eat it, no matter how hard I try. I’m picky, very picky when it comes to food. I like very little. People that are constantly negative, do not have a place in my life. I mean, c’mon, there’s always something to smile about. Kids are one of those things. I love being a nanny and being there while a kid is growing up, watching them learn new things and discover the world around them. Such an amazing thing to watch. I love my job, the people around me, my friends and family from everywhere, and I am IN LOVE with my phone and iPad! Last but not least, I HATE rain that goes on for days and days. Being in Portland right now, that’s really all I’ve been seeing! Well, I could go on for days and days, but for now, I think you’ve heard enough. Until next time!
